Serious Crash - Pukekohe

Counties Manukau Serious Crash Unit have attended the scene of a serious crash near Pukekohe where a single car has crashed into a tree at the intersection of Tuakau and Buckland Roads at around 12pm.  It was raining heavily at the time. 

 

A man aged in his 80s was in the vehicle and he has been taken to Middlemore Hospital where he remains in a critical condition. 

 

Crash investigator Constable Amy Weston says Police are looking for more information on the vehicle leading up to the time it crashed. 

 

"We are interested to hear from anyone who may have seen the black Isuzu Bighorn registration WE8279 in the areas of Pukekohe and Tuakau any time before the crash. This information will help us piece together the car's journey and establish the cause of the crash."
