1 min read

Please attribute to Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Baldwin:

Police are appealing for information from the public after serious incident in Mt Albert where a member of our community was indecently assaulted.

At around 8pm on Sunday 25 February 2018, the victim was locking her vehicle which was parked on Springleigh Avenue in Mt Albert.

A male has approached her from behind and grabbed her.  He then sexually assaulted her.

The offender has then run off heading west along Springleigh Avenue.

We have a very limited description of the offender who is described being of adult age, of average build; 5 ’8” in height or possibly shorter with short hair and was wearing glasses. He smelt strongly of alcohol. He was possibly wearing a light coloured t-shirt and dark beach shorts.

If anyone has any information or saw anything suspicious in the area then we want to hear from you, even if you think it is only small, it may assist our investigation team.

You can contact Detective Constable Kim on 021 191 2657 with information, or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
