Users of the Mauao area advised that the track around the base of the Mount has been closed temporarily today (Monday 20 October) as part of ongoing efforts by Police to locate two people recently missing in the area, including local boy Jack Dixon.
As this will involve Police teams searching with dogs, members of the public are asked to please keep clear of the track while the search is underway.
The track is expected to be closed from very early Monday morning until approximately 12 midday. Police apologises for any inconvenience.
