Hutt Valley Police have completed their search of the property at Harrison Crescent in Lower Hutt following yesterday’s sightings of persons with firearms. A scene examination of the stolen vehicle located at the property will be conducted today.
We have spoken to one resident of the property and are looking to speak to one other today.
At no time was a firearm presented at anyone. We are following leads in relation to the case and have reason to believe that this was not a random unprovoked incident.
I am unable to release further details at this time while our enquiries are ongoing, but ask that anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area since the event yesterday or has any information that they feel may be beneficial to our enquiries to contact the Hutt Valley CIB on (04) 439 0500.
