Update: Charing Cross incident

A homicide investigation has been launched following an incident in Charing Cross, Selwyn this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Grange Road about 3.30pm where one person died.

Initial enquiries suggest an altercation took place between two men.

A number of people are currently assisting Police.

A scene guard will remain in place overnight, with a full scene examination to begin in the morning.
