Emergency services remain at the scene of a fatal crash involving a truck and two cars on State Highway 1 near Mahurangi West Road.
A person died at the scene and two other people were taken to North Shore Hospital with moderate injuries following the crash just after 10am this morning.
We continue to ask motorists for their patience as the road will not be reopened for some time.
Diversions are in place at Silverdale and Warkworth.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
