Police can now confirm that a firearm and ammunition have been found at the location where a 36 year-old man was shot during an incident in Hamilton last night.
A preliminary scene examination has been conducted this morning and a pump-action shotgun and a live cartridge have been located at the site where the deceased was standing.
A wider search of the building is ongoing.
The pre-planned search warrant was in relation to an ongoing investigation looking into the supply of methamphetamine and firearms.
The scene examination is continuing and is expecting to take several days.
