Update on search for missing fisherman near Omaha

1 min read

The search for a missing fisherman at Ti Point near Omaha has entered it's third day, with no sign of the missing man.

25 year-old Maxium Efremychev hasn't been seen since lunchtime on Saturday, when he fell into the water from a small inflatable boat.

The search resumed this morning, with the members of the Police National Dive Squad entering the water for a second day, accompanied by the Police launch Deodar. Specialist sonar equipment from the Navy is also being used in the search. Aerial searches by the Police Eagle helicopter and a Coast Guard fixed wing aircraft have been carried out, as have extensive searches of the shoreline.

Mr Efremychev's family are being supported by Police and Victim Support.
