Hawkes Bay Police have arrested and charged two 19-year-old men in relation to the death of Javon Aranui who was assaulted in the early hours of Wednesday 20 December 2023.
Both men reside in Hawkes Bay and are jointly charged with Murder.
“Our investigation team have been working tirelessly to get this result and I would like to thank the members of the public who have come forward and provided information to assist the investigation,” says Detective Senior Sergeant Sally Patrick.
The pair are due to appear in the Hastings District Court on Thursday 29 February.
