At 9:20am this morning an accident occurred on SH29 in Matamata involving a truck and car.
Three people have been seriously injured and are currently receiving medical treatment.
Emergency Services are at the scene and the crash site section of SH29 is currently closed. The road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
The Police Serious Crash Unit are also in attendance and have begun the investigation as to the cause of the accident.
