Police were called to James Henry Crescent in Huntly at approximately 7.45pm this evening after receiving reports of disorder.
On arrival, a male was found deceased in the backyard of a residential property.
A homicide investigation has been launched and Police are presently securing the scene in preparation for a forensic examination.
There is no further information available at this time. Waikato Police will provide updates to the media as more information comes to light.
