Rescue teams have this morning been redeployed to search for a man missing in the Manawatu River in Palmerston North.
The man was last seen yesterday evening at about 6pm.
The Police National Dive Squad, volunteer LandSAR, the rescue emergency support team, and a helicopter are searching an area of the water around Fitzroy Bend.
The river level has dropped and there is no wind this morning.
The search is fully resourced and the focus from Central District Police is on finding the man.
