Wellington Police host Open Day in March

1 min read

Wellington Police are hosting a public Open Day at The Royal New Zealand Police College next month.

The Open Day, being held on Sunday 11 March, is a chance for members of the public to come along and learn more about the different aspects of Policing.

Wellington District Commander, Superintendent Sam Hoyle says the day is a chance to showcase what a career in Police looks like and to provide the public a chance to engage with local officers and Police recruits.

“Wellington District has a whole range of activities planned on the day and members of the public can learn more about the specialist teams we have within the Police, such as the Police Dive team, forensics, AOS, CIB and of course, our Police dogs and their handlers.

“We will also have plenty of staff on hand to provide information and advice on the Police recruitment process for those interested in joining the Police,” says Superintendent Hoyle.

More information about Wellington’s Open Day can be found on the District Facebook page here or on the Police website
