Emergency services are in attendance at a serious crash in Ōkaihau this morning.
The single-vehicle crash on Wehirua Road was reported to Police around 8.40am.
Early indications suggest one person has received critical injuries.
A section of Wehirua Road will be closed while emergency services respond to the crash and traffic is being diverted through Waiare Road.
The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance.
