Case 1: Now and Then Aggravated Robbery, New Lynn

At 6pm on Wednesday 19th May 2010 the victim was shutting up the Now and Then Gift Shop located at 6 Totara Ave, New Lynn.  The victim was using the roller door to close the shop and the door to shop was also closed.

The shop attendant heard a knock on the door while cashing up. She went and spoke with a female who wanted gas lighter refill. Female said she didn't have her purse and left shop so followed back out of shop. As victim started to close door behind victim it has been pushed forcefully open. The offenders have entered and pulled the roller door down. The female victim was taken out to the rear toilet and bound up. Demands for money were made. While the victim was bound up she could hear offenders ripping into boxes. Possibly the items have been loaded into a nearby car.

Unique items were stolen in the robbery e.g. dragon ornaments

Two offenders, one male and two females:

The first female who entered didn't sound like she was actually involved in robbery. She is described as:

  • Maori/Samoan
  • About 30 years
  • About 177cm / 5'10"
  • Large - fat build
  • Amatuer tattoos

She was wearing:

  • Blue jeans
  • Black zip-up hoodie.

There is no description of the male offender.

There is also no description of the second female (she was not seen, voice only), but she sounded rough and swore a lot.

Case 5: Wanted – Liquor Store Aggravated Robberies, Auckland

Counties Manukau Police need your help to identify these men who robbed two liquor outlet stores within hours of each other on Tuesday the 27th of April.
 
The two offenders entered the first liquor outlet store in East Tamaki at 7:15pm and stole two 15-packs of Heineken before walking towards the exit where they punched the victim in the mouth without warning.
 
They were last seen running towards Birmingham Road where they left the scene in a red vehicle.
 
The two offenders then entered the second liquor store on Queen Street in Auckland City at 10:25pm and stole two slabs of Cody’s 8% Bourbon and Cola before attempting to leave without paying. 
 
A staff member tried to stop the offenders from leaving but he was pushed outside the store where he was then punched in the head and knocked to the ground before the offenders left the scene in a waiting vehicle.
 
The first offender is described as:
  • Male Maori or Pacific Islander
  • Aged in his twenties
  • About 170 – 175cm / 5’8” – 5’9”
  • Solid build
  • Black hair with a #1 haircut.
Distinctive five star tattoos on left upper arm to neck and possibly tattoos continue across on to right upper arm.
He was wearing:
  • Black t-shirt
  • Black pants
  • Bare feet.
The second offender is described as:
  • Male Maori or Pacific Islander
  • Aged in his twenties
  • About 170 – 175cm / 5’8” – 5’9”
  • Solid build
  • Short black hair. 
He was wearing:
  • Blue jeans
  • Black and white sneakers
  • White t-shirt
  • First incident - dark-coloured basketball singlet over the top of Dickies “22”
  • Second incident - Black beanie.
