Case 1: South Auckland Petrol Station Aggravated Robberies
At approximately 8.08pm on Friday 11th of June three males entered the premises of Gasoline Alley Services petrol station. This is situated at 556 Great South Road, Papatoetoe.
One offender was armed with a hammer, the other with a firearm.
The offenders forced the three males working in the service station into a back room (office area) and then removed numerous packets of tobacco and cigarettes. They then removed an unknown amount of money from the till.
They left the store at 8.11pm and then one of the offenders returned and asked the owner for his wallet before leaving again.
The first offender is described as:
- Male Maori or Pacific Islander
- Aged in his 20’s
- About 165cm / 5’5”
- Slim Build
He was wearing:
- Black long-sleeved hoodie
- Blue bandana over face
- Black jeans
- Chuck Taylor shoes
The second offender is described as:
- Male Maori or Pacific Islander
- About 165cm / 5’5”
He was wearing:
- Black hoodie with hood over face
- Face covered with bandana
- Bag across shoulder.
This offender was carrying a light brown wooden handled 30cm hammer with rounded end instead of claw.
The third offender is described as:
- Male Maori or Pacific Islander
- 25 – 30 years
- Lighter Skin than offenders 1 & 2
- Fatter Build than offenders 1 & 2.
He was wearing:
- Black long-sleeved hoodie
- Distinctive pattern on back of sweatshirt (skull logo with crutches beneath)
- Bandana
- Carrying a bag.
At approximately 6:50pm on Saturday 19th of June two males entered Caltex Springs Road in East Tamaki. One of the males was armed with a sawn-off shotgun and after threatening the staff member went behind the counter and took various packets of cigarettes. The offenders have then left but quickly come back in to open the till and take an amount of cash.
The offenders brought a dog along with them who stayed outside the doors and waited.
The first offender is described as:
- Male Pacific Islander or Maori
- About 20 yrs old
- About 162cm / 5’4”
- Medium build
- Slight facial hair.
He was wearing:
- Blue NYPD stadium jacket
- 3/4 length blue pants
- Yellow black white basketball boots
- Black t-shirt / scarf wrapped around head.
Carrying pistol grip sawn-off shotgun.
The second offender is described as:
- Male Pacific Islander / Maori
- About 20 yrs old
- About 170cm / 5’7”
- Medium build
- Clean shaved.
He was wearing:
- Blue jacket
- Grey with black stripe pants
- White black shoes
- Black beanie hat
- Carrying large red sack.
The dog is described as:
- Medium-sized
- Light brown coloured.
