The man facing charges in relation to the death of a five-year-old Napier girl in December has been charged with her manslaughter.

Sahara Baker-Koro was found dead in her Napier home on December 21 last year.

Kerry Ratana, 24, is due to appear in the Napier District Court tomorrow. He currently faces one charge of sexual violation of the girl. He had previously been charged with assault, but that charge has been dropped.

Ratana will face the manslaughter charge when he appears in court tomorrow.
