Motorcyclist killed in Hari Hari crash [1]

A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car about midday, 2km south of Hari Hari on the West Coast.

The 51 year old man from the West Coast who was riding the motor cycle died at the scene.

The female driver of the other vehicle has serious injuries and was flown to Grey Base Hospital. A passenger in this vehicle received moderate injuries and was treated at the scene.

The collision occurred on a straight piece of road and driving conditions were good. Serious crash investigators are enroute to the scene to carry a scene investigation. Police are currently speaking to a number of witnesses.

SH6 is open with a detour in place around the crash scene.
