Crime Reporting Line - for previously reported crimes
Send files relating to a crime you've already reported. Use this form ONLY if:
- you have already reported a non-emergency crime or incident to your local Police station and have been given a reference number
- and you need to send files relating to this crime or incident
Financial Intelligence Unit and goAML
If you want to report a crime or advise of a matter you would like police to investigate please phone or visit your nearest Police Station. If you can't find the answer to your query in our Frequently Asked Questions you can make a general enquiry.
Provide information about a Missing Person. All information submitted will be treated as confidential. NZ Police do not investigate cases where family have lost contact with each other - please refer to family tracing sites on the internet or email@example.com.
Reporting crime online
You can NOT report most crime online or via email as you have to speak with a police officer so that we can get all the right information.
The exceptions are reporting:
- crime anonymously through Crimestoppers
- non-urgent road incidents via Community Roadwatch. For driving incidents that are minor or no longer continuing to be a danger to the public, complete online Community Roadwatch form or at your nearest police station.
- online incidents via The Orb website.
