Canterbury Police charge teenager in relation to seven burglaries

Canterbury Police officers investigating reports of burglaries and female underwear being stolen off washing lines in Upper Riccarton recovered a number of items of interest at a nearby address yesterday (22 February 2015).

A 16 year old teen was arrested yesterday afternoon (22 February 2015).  He has been charged with seven counts of burglary and will appear in Christchurch Youth Court today.

Police investigations are continuing.

Canterbury Police are appealing for anyone in the Upper Riccarton area of Christchurch who may have had female underwear stolen from their clothesline, had their car broken into or items taken from their property and haven’t reported it so far to contact Police by calling 03 363 7400, option 5.
