Family of Cyrus Alupis request privacy

1 min read

The family of Cyrus Alexis Alupis have asked for privacy while his homicide is investigated.

Cyrus was fatally stabbed in Greymouth early in the morning of Monday 30th July.

“Cyrus was a very loved son and a great father who loved all his children,” says a family spokesperson.

“We are cooperating with Police and their investigation however are asking for privacy during this time and will not be making any statements to the media.”

Police are still keen to talk to anyone who may have seen a young man dressed in dark clothing in the areas around Chapel Street, Willis Street, Alexander Terrace or near the Countdown, between 1:15am and 4:45am that morning. A pair of black casual-style shoes, approximately size 11-12 may have been left in this area.

We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything out of the ordinary or suspicious in those areas between those times.

If you have any information please contact Greymouth Police on 03 768 1600. Information can also be supplied anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
