Please attribute to Detective Sergeant Kirsten Norton:

Police investigating the homicide of Cyrus Alexis Alupis are appealing to the public for more information.

Cyrus was fatally stabbed in Greymouth early in the morning of Monday 30th July.

Police are keen to talk to anyone who may have seen a young man dressed in dark clothing in the areas around Chapel Street, Willis Street, the Countdown end of Alexander Terrace or near the Countdown, between 1:30am and 4:45am that morning.

We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything out of the ordinary or suspicious in those areas between those times.

Police also believe either a single or pair of black casual-style shoes, approximately size 11, may have been left in this area.

If you have seen these shoes or have any information about them, please contact Greymouth Police on 03 768 1600.

Information can also be supplied anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
