Fatal vehicle crash in Luggate

1 min read

Police and emergency services are currently in attendance at a fatal single-vehicle crash on the Luggate-Cromwell Road.

It appears there were seven occupants in the van when it has crashed with one person having died at the scene.

Emergency services are working to free two trapped occupants, while the remaining occupants were able to remove themselves from the vehicle and are being treated by ambulance staff.

Once the two trapped occupants have been removed from the vehicle, police will begin a serious crash investigation into the cause of the crash.

Police are advising motorists that the road is currently closed in both directions, however diversions are being put in place.

Motorists should expect some delays and are asked to plan any travel accordingly.
