Police in attendance at crash in Mangere

Police are responding to a two vehicle crash on Favona Road, Mangere, Auckland.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Harania Avenue shortly after 2pm.

A two-year-old and a newborn baby have been transported to Middlemore Hospital to be checked over following the crash. Extra care is being taken due to their age.

Three adults were checked over at the scene but have not been taken to hospital.

The road is currently closed while emergency services and the Police Serious Crash Unit are in attendance.

Diversions are in place via Haranui Avenue and Forbes Road.
