Police and Armed Offenders Squad staff are currently attending an incident at a rural property in the Lower Kaimai Ranges in Bay of Plenty District.
Officers were visiting the property to execute an arrest warrant this morning when they were threatened by the occupants and AOS were subsequently alerted.
Fire Service are also in attendance as there is a small fire in one of the buildings on the property.
The incident is contained at the address and there is no wider risk to the public.
There is no further information available at this stage.
