Police seek assistance to find items connected to commercial burglaries

Yesterday members of the Lower Hutt CIB charged a 32 year old male with burglary in relation to commercial burglaries committed in both the Lower Hutt and Wellington CBDs.

The last burglary was committed at approximately 5.30am on Thursday 20th August at Chapelli's Eatery and Wine Bar in Lower Hutt where the suspect was caught on CCTV using a light blue pry bar and carrying a black strapped satchel.

At 5.40am when the Lower Hutt Police located the suspect walking near 125 Woburn Road he had disposed of the dark satchel and light blue pry bar between the two locations.

Police are seeking assistance from residents between Chapelli's eatery and Wine Bar and 125 Woburn Road to look for the items which may have been disposed of and to report the finding to the Lower Hutt Police Station on (04) 560 2600 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
