Police are appealing to the public for sightings of a vehicle driven by missing Whanganui man, Whetu Teaola Hansen.
Mr Hansen, aged 48, was known to frequently drive a grey-primer coloured 1980 Ford ute, registration JM9538.
Police located the vehicle within the Akers Road property last Thursday (5 December) and is it currently undergoing forensic examination.
Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Harrison says: "Mr Hansen was last seen driving this vehicle in the direction of Palmerston North on Sunday the 24th of November."
"Sightings of this vehicle form an important part of our inquiries in terms of piecing together Mr Hansen's movements and we want to hear from anyone that saw the vehicle between the Sunday and Thursday the 5th of December."
The examination at the property also continues today and Police are making good progress given the significant size of it. A team of 15 officers supported by ESR staff are involved in the examination.
"We are also continuing to speak to Mr Hansen's family and his associates.
"At this stage we have not been able to locate Mr Hansen but we have had some calls from the public regarding our investigation and we are grateful for these, as well as the support of media in our appeal.
"We are still keen to hear from anyone that may have any information about his disappearance or sightings of the vehicle and I encourage them to contact Police," says Detective Senior Sergeant Harrison.
