Extra Police give more protection and response - New Zealand Police

Citizen Satisfaction Survey Results

Each year, independent surveying is done to help guage how New Zealanders view the performance of Police.
The telephone-based surveys typically involve more than 8000 people.  Independent interviewers ask people about their levels of trust and confidence in Police, and their overall satisfaction with the service provided by Police.   The survey uses a standard set of questions that focus in on the six factors that are recognised to have the greatest impact on people's satisfaction with public services. Those drivers are:

  • The service experience met your expectations
  • Staff were competent
  • Staff kept their promises
  • You were treated fairly
  • Your individual circumstances were taken into account
  • It's an example of good value for tax dollars spent
