Canterbury Police have charged a man in relation to the sexual violation of a female that occurred in May 1994 in the Burwood suburb of Christchurch.
Canterbury Police and Victim Support are working with the victim.
The 48 year old Christchurch man will appear in Christchurch District Court this morning (13 February 2015) on burglary, abduction and sexual violation related charges.
Canterbury Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
