No, testing positive does not directly result in a loss of licence. Although, the infringement for a positive test includes licence demerits points.
You will lose your licence when the licence demerit points have accumulated to over 100 within a two-year period. The accumulation of licence demerit points can be from any offence (e.g., speeding, alcohol-related infringement, or breaching licence conditions etc).
