Nine people have been arrested today by Auckland City Police investigating the April 2 bashings of brothers Sila and Vili Kamoto and their friend in Mt Roskill.

Sila Kamoto is still in hospital with serious head injuries suffered during the alleged attack that happened outside his home on Morrie Laing Ave.

The nine arrested will appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow to face a range of charges including wounding with intent to cause grevious bodily harm and assault with a weapon. All nine are males from Avondale who range in age from 17 to 24.

The charges relate to alleged offences against Vili Kamoto and his friend - none relate to the attack on Sila. Further charges may be laid at a later date.
