A man killed in a road crash in Opunake last night has been named as 63-year-old John Richard Miller from Opunake.
The crash happened around 3.40pm on SH45 north of the Opunake township. A Toyota people mover travelling south lost control on a moderate right-hand bend. It crossed the road, rolling over and hit a fence.
An 87-year-old woman injured in the crash is in a stable condition in Taranaki Base Hospital.
Serious Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
