New Plymouth Police can now confirm that the body recovered yesterday afternoon from rocks off the Coastal Walkway is that of missing 16-year-old Nikolao Meafua known as Niko.
Niko had been missing since Monday 10 June after he left his Bell Block home.
A post-mortem was completed today along with formal identification processes. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
The matter has now been referred to the coroner.
