Official opening of the new Evidence Based Policing Centre

Police and partners invite media to attend the official opening of the new Evidence Based Policing Centre on Thursday, 14 December 2017.

The event will be held at the Centre – Level 11, Vodafone House, 160  Lambton Quay, Wellington, 10.30am to midday.

The Centre will be officially opened by the Minister of Police, Hon. Stuart Nash.

Police, the University of Waikato, and the Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR) are joint partners in the Centre, alongside Police’s strategic partner, Vodafone New Zealand.

The Centre will be staffed by Police, and experts from the University of Waikato and ESR, offering an open environment for collaboration on research and other initiatives to benefit operational policing.

Guests speakers at the event are:

  •    Minister of Police, Hon. Stuart Nash.
  •    Police Commissioner, Mike Bush.
  •    University of Waikato Vice-Chancellor, Professor Neil Quigley.
  •    The Institute of Environmental Science and Research Chief Executive, Dr Keith McLea.
  •    Vodafone New Zealand Chief Executive Officer, Russell Stanners.
