1 min read

Please attribute to Senior Sergeant Steven Crawford, Northern Manawatu Area Prevention Manager:

Palmerston North Police have today arrested two people in relation to the supply of synthetic cannabis.

A search warrant was executed at a Palmerston North Address this morning which resulted in the seizure of 46 small bags of a synthetic cannabis, cash and items used in the preparation and packaging of the drugs.

A man and a woman were arrested at the address for various drug related offences.

The 45-year-old woman will appear in Palmerston District Court on 15 August 2017.

These substances are causing harm to our communities and it’s important that we, as a community, work together to remove these products from our streets.

These drugs can be extremely dangerous and users can experience severe health issues. I urge anyone using synthetic cannabis to stop and seek help.

Police will continue to work with the community and partner agencies to combat this drug and want to remind other drug dealers that we will hold them accountable.

If you know of anyone who is making or supplying synthetic cannabis then please contact your local Police.

You can also provide information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
