Police cellular tender

1 min read

NZ Police are tendering for cellular services, including handsets and air time.

Rohan Mendis, National Manager for Infrastructure Business Units, said the tender is restricted to the three main cellular vendors in New Zealand for service and security reasons.

“The contract will be for three years with the possibility to extend for a further three years.

“New Zealand Police’s current contract is with Telecom and expires on 30 June 2004,” said Mr Mendis.

The tendering process is standard practice and in line with government policy for open and transparent procurement.
