The man initially charged with assault following the death of a man at a Harvey Tce address on Friday 26 March has now been charged with murder.
Keremihana Hirani GEORGE will be appearing in the Christchurch District Court on Tuesday 30 March 2004 to face the new charge.
Police have now located the family of the deceased man and will request that the Court lift the suppression order currently in place preventing the publication of the name of the deceased.
