Hamilton woman wanted for snooker hall robbery arrested in Auckland

1 min read

Hamilton Police investigating the aggravated robbery of a City snooker hall in March arrested a woman in Auckland today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton of the Hamilton CIB said investigators travelled north looking for a woman who is alleged to have distracted bar staff enabling her armed accomplices to gain entry through security doors into the bar area.

"A 22-year-old Hamilton woman was arrested shortly before 8am following several weeks of intensive investigative work.

"We hope news of her arrest will bring comfort to the victims of the robbery, particularly the two female bar staff on duty at the time who were subjected to a very intimidating ordeal."

Investigations into locating the two males involved in the robbery are continuing.
