Man sought after Wellington vet centre robbery

Wellington Police are investigating a robbery at the Tasman Street Vet Centre at around 7.00pm yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Corey Watts says “A male has entered the Vet Centre just before closing and forced the staff member to open the safe before stealing drugs and fleeing the scene on foot.

“The male is described as Caucasian in his 30's of lean build and about 185 centimeters tall.

“He was wearing a bright red t-shirt with dark sunglasses. His haircut is described as unkempt and hanging past the shoulders at the back with a much shorter cut on the sides and the top”, says Detective Sergeant Corey Watts.

Wellington Police are trying to locate this man as soon as possible and are urging anyone who may have seen this man in the area, before or after the robbery, or who recognises this description to make contact.
