Car crime in Whanganui

Whanganui Police are investigating several incidents of car crime over the weekend, one of which resulted in a stolen vehicle crashing in Castlecliff around 12.40am today. 

Police believe it is the same group of offenders involved in a series of incidents, and are following strong lines of inquiry to identify those responsible.  

Members of the public are reminded to ensure their vehicles are as secure as possible, by keeping any valuables out of site, keeping vehicles in locked garages when possible, and making use of anti-theft devices such as steering wheel locks and car alarms.   ENDS   Issued by the Police Media Centre   Media note: There is no more detail available at this time as inquiries continue
