Funeral planned for Christchurch homicide victim

1 min read

Family and friends will be paying special tributes to Christchurch homicide victim Tracey Lee Morris at her funeral service in the city on Thursday.

Detective Inspector Virginia Le Bas, Christchurch Police, said Tracey’s family appreciate the support they have received from many people following the discovery of the 46-year-old’s body in a car in the city on 6 January.

Tracey’s family has asked however that media respect their privacy and not attend Tracey’s funeral service.

A 53-year-old Christchurch man was arrested on 7 January and has been charged with murder and sexual violation.

Police are in the process of completing background investigative work and have no further comment as this is now before the courts.
