Police groups

The scale and complexity of Police operations provides a variety of jobs and career paths within the organisation. As well as day-to-day job variety, the work ensures that employees make good use of their knowledge and skills. Managers within Police support and encourage staff in their jobs. Employees can take ownership of both their career and professional development to make the most of their potential.

Along with corporate functions like Finance, ICT and HR, we also have groups unique to police. Our criminal investigations group provides specialist services which include e-crime, forensics and fingerprinting. Māori, Pacific and Ethnic Services works to enhance Police's leadership and commitment to responsive policy development and service delivery to Māori, Pacific and Ethnic people. The International Services Group partners with Police's international counterparts to develop policing capability across the Asia-Pacific region.
