Police have released further photographs of the jacket and backpack worn by Dagmar (Dasha) Pytlickova in an effort to prompt more information about her movements last Saturday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Marion Neill, of Timaru CIB, says the Police enquiry is now focused primarily on trying to establish Dasha's movements after she left Cromwell on Saturday afternoon.

"On Saturday we believe that she left Cromwell around 2pm, and was intending to hitch hike to the Timaru area.

"It's likely she was in Omarama area by around 4pm, and in the Kurow area possibly by 4.45 or 5pm. However we still wish to keep this time span as open as possible.

"Our hope is that publishing these photographs may prompt people to come forward with any sightings or information that will help us to track Dasha's movements.

"We are especially keen to hear from anyone who gave her a lift on Saturday."

Detective Senior Sergeant Neill says no further sightings or information had been received since last night.

Anyone with information is asked to call Timaru Police on (03) 687 9808.

Meanwhile the body of Miss Pytlickova was today released to funeral directors on behalf of her family.
