Arrest made in Dunedin homicide case

As a result of a week long investigation, Dunedin CIB have today arrested and charged a 20 year old male with the murder of Karin Ann Ross who was found deceased in a Strathallan Street address last Wednesday, 2 December 2015.

Detective Inspector Darryl Sweeney commends the dedicated team of investigators and specialist staff who have worked around the clock to resolve this crime in a week.

Mr Sweeney would also like to acknowledge the information and support they have received from members of the public during the investigation.

The male, who is known to the victim, is due to appear in the Dunedin District Court tomorrow, Thursday 10 December 2015.

As the matter is now before the courts, police are unable to provide any further comment.
