Attribute to Sergeant Andrew Lyes
Additional charges have been laid following the Armed Offenders Squad callout in Westport on Saturday.
The callout was in relation to an incident on Thursday where a man was threatened with a sawn off firearm and kidnapped following a dispute.
The 25-year-old man who was arrested on Saturday is facing kidnapping and firearms charges.
He is due to appear in the Westport District Court on the 13th of December
During the incident an AOS member was bitten and assaulted by a woman.
A 24 year-old woman was arrested and has been charged with obstruction and assaults Police.
She is due to appear in the Blenheim District Court today .
