One person was taken to hospital in a critical condition tonight after the vehicle they were in hit a house in Horotiu, Waikato.
Emergency services were called to the crash, south of Ngaruawahia, at 8.26pm.
Initial reports from the scene suggest only one person was in the vehicle and no-one from the house was injured.
Great South Rd, between Horotiu Rd and Anzac St East, is closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit has been called to investigate.
