Emergency services are responding to a serious crash involving a car and scooter, south of Waiuku.
The crash happened about 5.20pm on Waiuku-Otaua Road, between Smith Road and Misa Road.
Initial reports suggest the rider of the scooter has critical injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is also responding, and the road is expected to be closed for some time.
Diversions are in place, and motorists should expect delays
