Dunedin FIFA U-20 World Cup games end on a high

1 min read

Dunedin Police are commending the crowds who participated in the seven FIFA U-20 World Cup matches held in Dunedin.

“Through-out all seven matches, which included three double-headers and one round of 16 match, crowd behaviour was excellent,” says Inspector Steve McGregor, Southern District Operations Manager. “With a total number of spectators sitting at over 22,000, those who attended the matches were very well-behaved and added to the great family atmosphere at each of the events.”

As a result, there were no arrests at any of the matches and only two evictions from the stadium made by security staff throughout all seven matches.
