Four arrested in New Plymouth on drugs charges

1 min read

Four members of the same family were arrested this morning following the execution of a search warrant at a residential address in Moturoa, New Plymouth.

They face a range of charges, including possession of cannabis, possession of methamphetamine, supplying methamphetamine, and allowing premises to be used for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

This morning's search follows a search of the same address last week in which Police charged two members of the same family with receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession of cannabis.

One person is appearing in New Plymouth District Court today. The other three are scheduled to appear tomorrow.

“Police will continue to disrupt the activities of organised criminal groups, who persist in the supply of drugs and distribution of stolen property. Police thank members of the public for assisting Police in preventing the harm this causes our communities,” says Senior Constable Peter Lawn,  New Plymouth Tactical Crime Unit.
