Information sought following robbery in Waharoa

Waikato Police are seeking information from the public following a robbery at NM Superette, Waharoa last night.

Two males entered the superette shortly before 9pm. The alleged offenders threatened the staff member and stole cash before fleeing.  The store member was not injured in the incident.

The two offenders are described as teenagers of Maori descent.

One of the offenders was reported to be of average height and build and wearing a white t-shirt, white cap, black shorts with a red strip on the side and black shoes. The second offender was wearing black shorts and a black jacket plus orange or red shoes.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of the superette last night or who may recognise the offenders described above is asked to contact Matamata-Piako CIB on 021 192 3055. Information can also be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
